POETRY | WE ARE NOT BROKEN JUST BENT.

Not broken, just bent,

A soul that’s learned to bend,

But never break, under the weight.

Life can be tough, it can be rough,

It can make you feel like giving up,

But know that you’re not broken, just bent.

You’ve been through storms,

and you’ve been through pain,

But still,

you rise and you stand again,

For you are not broken, just bent.

You’re like a tree, strong and tall,

With branches that bend, but never fall,

For you are not broken, just bent.

You’ve been through the fire,

and you’ve been through rain,

But you’ve come out stronger, not in vain,

For you are not broken, just bent.

So hold your head up high, and don’t you fear,

For you have a heart that’s strong and clear,

And you are not broken, just bent.

And even when life gets hard, and you feel low,

Just remember that you’re not broken, just bent,

And you’ll get through it, and you’ll grow.
