I felt the sun on my face.

The rays on my cheeks

And the warmth of your hand on mine.

Because you held my hand.

I only felt warm inside.

Because of your presence and the sun.

I looked at you.

You looked back at me.

And I closed my eyes.

Shying away from your entangling words.

With a beautiful grin.

I couldn’t stop but smiled back.

Because every time you smile at me.

I smile.

And every time you look at me.

My heart leaps out of my chest.

And lands inside yours.

For you always make me feel special.

I am the luckiest person in the world, I am.

I’ll tell you how the sun rose, -
A ribbon at a time.
The steeples swam in amethyst,
The news like squirrels ran.

The hills untied their bonnets,
The bobolinks begun.
Then I said softly to myself,
“That must have been the sun!”

But how he set, I know not.
There seemed a purple stile.
Which little yellow boys and girls
Were climbing all the while

Till when they reached the other side,
A dominie in gray
Put gently up the evening bars,
And led the flock away.

Our power lies not in becoming someone.

Who you are is perfect.

Our power lies not in becoming someone else
but in unfolding — revealing to the world who we have been created to be.

You don’t need to be something else
something different
Something unique and unfound
Who you are is perfect.

So give yourself permission to unfold.
To blossom.
Stripping down to the rawest,
the most authentic version of yourself,
and seeing it
as brilliant and valuable.

As you do you’ll begin to see yourself living,
Breathing freely, growing and glowing with light
allowing you to experience the greatness you
were destines for.
